Visit from Great Aunt and Uncle

In mid-February Olivia and I (Suzanne) had a very welcome visit from my Aunt and Uncle, Herb and Margaret Steffens, during their visit to London. It was their and Olivia's first meeting, and Olivia warmed up to them very quickly which was fun to see. We had a good time chatting and catching up on each other's news - and experiencing Olivia, of course!

Here, Olivia is showing off some of her lovely teeth. She has 11 now, with a twelfth on the way. She took her first step yesterday from a chair to Bob, and is becoming a toddler in many other ways as well. She likes to wipe her face off, move a toothbrush around in her mouth (and in mama's). We have spent many weeks with colds this year, so she has also started to mimic blowing her nose... She likes to wipe the crumbs off the table (almost) like mama does (I don't usually sweep them onto the floor).
Her sign language is really coming along too. Some of her new signs are 'bird', 'finished', 'down', and a popular one with her is 'nappy change'. She often initiates a nappy change by telling us she needs one. She and her friend Lyra had their first conversation the other day too. What was the topic? MILK.MILK.MILK.MILK.
